scippneutron.conversion.tof.energy_transfer_from_energies(*, incident_energy, final_energy)[source]#

Compute the energy transfer from incident and final energies.

The result is

\[\Delta E = E_i - E_f\]

Where \(E_i\) is the incident energy and \(E_f\) the final energy.

Parameters:
  • incident_energy (Variable) – Incident neutron energy \(E_i\).

  • final_energy (Variable) – Final neutron energy \(E_f\).

Returns:

Variable – Energy transfer \(\Delta E\).
