ess.reduce.polarization.he3.he3_opacity_function_from_beam_data(transmission_empty_glass, transmission_fraction, opacity0_initial_guess)[source]#

Opacity function for a given cell, based on direct beam data.

Note that this can alternatively be defined via cell parameters, see he3_opacity_function_from_cell_opacity(). The cell opacity is used as an initial guess for the fit.
