ess.imaging.tools.resolution.estimate_cut_off_frequency(mtf)

Estimates the cut off frequency of the modulation transfer function (mtf).

Parameters:

mtf (DataArray) – A (potentially noisy) modulation transfer function curve having a coordinate named “frequency”.

Returns:

Variable – An estimate of the frequency where the modulation transfer function goes to zero, the “cut off frequency”.
